The AARP Smart Driver Course, offered by AARP Driver Safety, is the nation s largest classroom and online driver safety course and is designed especially for drivers age 55 and older. By taking a driver safety course, you'll learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today's increasingly challenging driving environment. You'll learn how you can manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time. After completing the course you will receive a certificate of completion that can be presented to your insurance agent for a possible reduction in your auto insurance premiums. Bring your Minnesota Driver's License to class. AARP members should be able to provide your membership number to the instructor at the class. Feel free to bring a snack and beverage. Class is located at The Cedars of Austin, 700 1st Drive NW, Austin, MN. Park in the parking lot off North Main Street. Enter through east door across from Mill Pond.
